Finish out your Summer Training Strong

Easy Tips for adapting your training to avoid the end of summer trainings slog

1) make sure to hydrate during your runs. Take a water bottle. Research consistently shows this will reduce your heart rate and therefore help you recover faster.

2) freeze your water bottle overnight. Fill your bottle 3/4 full and freeze overnight. Add water right before your run

3) trade out an easy run day with a swim, bike, or strength workout. Cross training is a great way to replace or supplement your run training.

4) Find a pool or creek or spring to cool off in mid run. Giving yourself a midway destination can help get you out there door and give your run a little more direction.

5) Find friends to run with. Running with others is a great way to have more fun while training. We’ve all seen how much faster a run goes by when we’re with friends. Looking for more friends? Come run with us!
