Introducing Trail Roots Ambassadors

As Trail Roots began to grow, we wanted to make sure that everyone was connecting and enjoying being in the group. We recently adapted ambassadors to help with organizing social events for the group and help welcome new people in.

Meet the Ambassadors

Nina Choi

Nina is a joyful extrovert who loves helping people feel welcome and included. She’ll walk up to anyone and ask them how their day is and put a smile on their face. Organizing events is her forte and she is happiest when she sees people come together and enjoying the moment.

“Trail Roots is such an amazing community of folks that I’m so grateful to be a part of! I’m so impressed by everyone that gets out on the trails to get after it no matter the weather, no matter the time. I want everyone to have the ability to know that they are capable of anything they put their mind to and I think this community represents that.”

Julia Howell

Julia is one of our biggest cheerleaders and can be found volunteering at races and cheering runners on. She always has the funnest aid stations and loves getting people together for happy hours.

“One of my favorite things is getting to share my love of running with people that feel the same way. I feel like I have found a little spot in this world in the community Trail Roots has built and getting to help others find their spot in this group brings me a lot of joy! I love getting to cheer people on, helping people celebrate their accomplishments, and helping answer any questions people may have.”

Sydney Lambert

Sydney is an ultra trail running veteran who loves to lift up others along with her. She’s the first to give kudos on Strava and often praises others in the group as they accomplish their goals.

“What I want to empower in people is that every single person has an incredible amount of mental fortitude and by tapping into that, you’re unlimited in what you can achieve.”

What does an ambassador do?

Ambassadors organize our monthly happy hours, group events like tubing and putt putt, and our holiday party. They also run with and connect with new runners for their first couple of runs, and spread the joy of running with Trail Roots.

What is required of an ambassador?

We ask our ambassadors to show up to two runs a week, help us spread the word about events on social media, volunteer at races, and plan social events for the group.

How do I become an ambassador?

Reach out! We are always looking for new people who want to step up and help us keep this community connected and happy.
